February 3-5, 2010

Student Job Fair
Employer Information

Employers: Need to fill a position in the next year? Want to increase your chances of finding qualified, motivated employees? Then we have an opportunity for you!

Come One, Come All to the 13th Annual Student Job Fair at the 2010 Missouri Natural Resources Conference!

This year’s Student Job Fair will be held in conjunction with the conference on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 5:15 to 6:30 PM in Parasol I and II prior to the conference mixer. No job is too big or too small and there is no fee to participate. are hoping to offer more full-time positions this year, but part-time and temporary are still welcome. more information, go to the web page at www.mnrc.org. If you are interested in participating in this year’s event, please fill out an Employer Participation Form and Job Announcement (.pdf) or (.doc). Don’t worry; they’re short. In fact, a formal job announcement is sufficient if you already have one. If you have more than one opening for the same position, only one job announcement form is necessary but please list the number of openings. If positions have different job descriptions, please fill out a new form for each position. Send the Employer Participation Form and Job Announcement (.pdf) or (.doc) to the address listed below byJanuary 15th, 2010.

At last year’s Student Job Fair, employers, or a representative, were asked to be present so that students could ask questions and leave resumes. This worked well for the employers as well because they were able to converse with prospective employees. The format will be the same for the 2010 Job Fair. Each employer will be provided a full or half table to display their employment information.

If you, or a representative, are unable to attend, we still want your job information. Copies will be made and given to students interested in your openings.

Students attending past Job Fairs have ranged from high school seniors to Masters candidates, and current resource professionals, and have come from a variety of different work backgrounds and fields. Around 120 students attended last year’s event, and more students are expected in 2010.

Also, please post a Student Job Fair Advertisement at your office so students and staff are aware of the event. You are encouraged to post more posters at other locations or share with other staff that may have openings.
