The importance of sustainably managing water resources (quality and quantity) in Missouri cannot be overstated. Sustaining the water quality and quality is a challenge, and to meet these challenges resource managers need up-to-date information. The goal of this workshop is to gather scientists, resource managers and private landowners involved in water resource management and research to exchange views and share experiences on the various activities designed to protect, restore, and preserve water quality in the state. The workshop will provide current state of knowledge on the management water resources in Missouri. Topics include water quality regulations, impacts of ecological stream flows, urbanization, agriculture, and forest management on water quality and watershed analysis. We hope that this knowledge and discussions during the workshop will form a basis for better management of this critical resource. Resource managers and scientists who have an interest in water related issues are our target audience.
