This session will be looking how radioactive and hazardous waste contamination impacts the public and private lands that the state of Missouri manages. These presenters have experience within the state of Missouri at such sites as Department of Energy Weldon Spring Site/August A. Busch Conservation Area and Department of Defense Minuteman II Missile sites. This session will start with background information on long-term stewardship, what it is and how it is implemented. Knowledgeable staff will share their real world experiences both from the state and federal perspective and with sites located on public and private lands. Finally, presenters will discuss how radioactive and hazardous contamination may impact you and your management of the natural resources. There will be a chance to ask the presenters questions and to participate in brief discussions at the end of all of the presentations.
